The Making of Men delivers Rites of Passage training and wellbeing programs to schools and organisations around Australia. As we expand we are in need of a school’s coordinator to help us manage and grow this area of our enterprise. We work with a number of schools around Australia and are receiving a high level of enquiries and interest in our work. The role will focus on liaising with schools, expanding our school partnerships and spreading Rites of Passage work into schools throughout Australia.

We are looking for an energetic, pro-active and action-oriented person to join the team of our small but rapidly growing education social enterprise. We need someone who shares our vision and has the ability to take an idea and transform it into reality. You can see the bigger picture and look for new opportunities but also you are a task oriented doer that gets things done. You are not easily overwhelmed, you are methodical, focused and patient.  In addition, you are a networker and build healthy, strong relationships, communicate openly and with clarity.

What will you be doing?

Being a fast growing social enterprise means there are exciting opportunities for this role to grow and expand. Please note that this role will involve a significant amount of travel. Initially, as the school’s co-ordinator you’ll be undertaking the following:


Relationship building & Communications

  • Liaise with all schools and inquiries
  • Account manage all existing and prospective schools
  • Monitoring and evaluating school program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and reporting on them

 

Program Design

  • Play a role in choosing appropriate school programs, methods and modules that are reflective of the Rites of Passage Framework
  • Working with the Head of Training & Program Development in designing and developing ROP programs for schools


Marketing & Expansion

  • Work with our marketing team to develop sales strategies
  • Work with speaking agencies to coordinate and develop marketing to target schools for our programs
  • Report to General Manager about strategy and outreach initiatives

 

Experience & Skills

We are open to people from diverse backgrounds with a range of life experiences and qualifications. Below are some key skills we see as important for the role.

  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Strong copywriting and proven experience in writing proposals, reporting and tenders
  • Previous experience in account and client relationship management
  • Familiarity with schools and the education system
  • Some experience in training and/or program design  
  • Background in sales, marketing and/or communications
  • Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
  • Advanced organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with Cloud based collaborative work processes and project management software

In addition to supporting day-to-day operations, you will be working directly alongside our CEO, General Manager, Head of Training & Development and Admin to grow our enterprise, launch new projects and improve operational efficiency. We are excited to grow our business. We recognise the importance of financial viability in helping us create change, however, our primary objective is to do the most good we can do.

While you are being hired for specific strengths and a role this will in no way limit the breadth of activities involved in your role. Anything and everything involved in running a start-up social enterprise could be on your to-do list.

As a rule of thumb you can expect a flexi-time, flexi-location work environment. We have a culture of trust, responsibility and delivering on outcomes, so we don’t need timesheets or strict protocols. The role is open to persons geographically located anywhere in Australia in easy access of a capital city and major domestic airport. It is not a requirement of the role to be in a set office location as long as there is a great internet connection.

The salary for this full-time role is $75K pa
